EPFL Architecture includes research and design projects in education, academia and the profession as a community venture. Rather than pushing individual achievement to the fore we see co-authorship and collaboration to be central to architectural research and education. Therefore, EPFL Architecture is not structured into chairs bearing the names of individual professors but is organized with a laboratory structure, often themselves transdisciplinary, that are home to researchers, junior faculty and professors.
